This album proves that house music compilations by dj’s who prefer feeding the nation with the overseas foreign music have no competition against home brewed originally South African house music. There’s no doubt about this album being the most successful debut album by the new independent musician Maxx. Whether in Pretoria, Limpopo, Durban or eastern cape, you were bound to hear ‘Be mine’, ‘moment of sirens’, ‘I’m happy with my body’ rocking the speakers out the cars and parties.
The adventure continues when “Be mine” and “I’m happy with my body” music videos become SABC 1’s favorite getting regular broadcast. Only if the album was not the limited edition, more of the fans across the country would have enjoyed this funky dance sounds produced by Maxx. Anyway we hope the up coming project will reach further. Maxx is a perfectionist producer that you can not separate from musical instruments and studio (which turns to be a bedroom with no sleep).
“We have received an enormous support and welcome by dance music fans, and we are even working harder to keep the music standard higher”, says Maxx. “I’m very thankful to everyone who supported me especially in the Kwazulu Natal area’s, Tertiary Institutions, Pretoria and surroundings, Venda, Limpopo, community Radio stations from DYR, Soshanguve, Univen, e.t.c. SABC, friends and people in work places, website subscribers, internet buyers, All the media., I really had a good welcome and encouragement to see people appreciate my work”.
