The LAST BORNS
The last borns is a Hip Hop trio consisting of Dizzah (Nhlahla Ncunu), Ace (Mpumelelo Khoza) and Derushia Sam. Ace and Dizzah are vernacular rappers (Emcees) who’s style is outstanding and not like any other Zulu rappers. These three Durban-based artists met in high school through a friend, Tabs, and ever since then they have been together as a group, writing songs until 2day when it’s time to take it to the people.
Dizzah may as well be crowned the king of vernacular flow and no rapper has ever been had with so many metaphors than this Durban young talent. On the other hand Ace is wel known for his knock out punch lines which always get the hip hop heads shouting woh! Derushia is the perfect voice behind the hit song “I’m happy with my body” by Maxx. Derushia gives melody and more fill to the poetry of Dizzah and Ace combined with the beats (instrumentals) cooked by producer Maxx.
The last borns are the most talked about hip hop group that performs and is demand in mostly Durban area. Having been heard or DYR and other Kwazulu-natal radios and seen at most hip hop gig’s and spots like the Bat centre, the people are demanding an album….. the people have spoken and so is the album in the making.
